Pat Nasshorn has been affiliated with Care Capital
since 2002, providing business development support to a variety of
portfolio companies, co-founding and heading business development
for Vanda Pharmaceuticals, and seeking Phase III financing and
royalty acquisition opportunities for Clinical Development Capital.
Her current focus, as Executive in Residence, is on business
development consulting, for both portfolio and non-portfolio
companies. In a variety of transaction-based assignments, Pat
successfully closed over a dozen licensing agreements with
pharmaceutical companies including: Abbott, AZ, BDSI, BMS, GSK, Meda,
Merck, Novartis, Salix, UCB and Wyeth.
Previously, Pat was President of Unipath Diagnostics, a $100 million
women’s health division of Unilever that was later sold to Inverness
Medical in 2001. For the first twenty years of her career, from 1977
to 1997, she held a broad range of progressive positions beginning
in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, strategic planning, business
development and licensing, and general management, with Johnson &
Johnson, Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Pat holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance, as well as a bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration from Temple University,
Philadelphia, PA.
